If you want to get admission in engineering after completing diploma in mechanical engineering, you will have to appear for the Lateral Entry Entrance Test. In short this exam is called LEET.

LEET is conducted by the different state Engineering boards for admission of diploma candidates to second year of engineering.

The eligibility criteria for LEET exam is that you must have scored at least 60% in the diploma. After that you need to clear the LEET exam. Application forms for different states is out in the month of April to May.

Depending upon your rank in the LEET exam, you will get admission in the second year of engineering and choice of stream of engineering will also depend upon your rank. For bachelor of technology in mechanical engineering, you need to have good rank in the LEET exam.

You can get admission in second year of B.Tech after completing diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

You can get direct admission in second year through LEET shceme. Where LEET stands for Lateral Entry Entrance Test.

On the basis of marks you will get the college.

For admission in B.Tech you must have minimum 60% marks in diploma.

You have to apply for the respective college for admission online.
