All engineering branches do offer good career prospects. But you need to select the stream which will suit you. It should match your strength and also you should have interest in that stream. This is important as you will be able to have a successful career only if you are have interest in the same. Make sure that you work hard and have a sound conceptual knowledge.

In my opinion the best Engineering branch for future career prospectus will be the course of you interest. It will be better that you go through the course which your interested in rather than studying the course which your not interested in but having good future prospectus.

For future prospectus you can choose the evergreen branches like Electrical and Electronics,Electronics and Communication,Mechanical,Civil.

Advantages

1.The branches mentioned above have jobs in all Government sectors.
2.The main advantage of these branches is that they can enter into the software sector and find out jobs in Top Software companies but CSE,IT stream Graduates cannot enter into Mechanical,EEE stream.

You can even choose streams like Aeronautical,Bio-Medical,Chemical,Marine..etc.But there are limited number of seats in India for all thees streams compared to other streams of Engineering. These streams mentioned here have high demand and there are companies offering jobs with high pay. So,you can even try out these sectors.

you should choose your branch according to your interest. if you think about market condition now every stream of engineering have a good market. but there is a trend that most of the student are taking admission in electronics and communication engineering branch. if you are really interested then choose this branch as your career option.

if you can do drawing very well and if you have interest on it then you may choice civil engineering or mechanical engineering as your career option.

if you like to work with computer, software, programing etc then best option for you to choose computer science engineering or IT.

if you want to work in aerospace related subject then go for aerospace engineering.

in this way choose most suitable branch of engineering for you.

best of luck.

Hi

Engineering is a stream which mainly deals with the development in technical field. All the engineering stream are somehow related to technology and its advancement.

The major and most studied engineering streams are :

ECE - Electronics and Communication

CSE - Computer Science Engineering

ME - Mechanical Engineering

EE - Electrical Engineering

CE - Civil Engineering/ Chemical Engineering

IT - Information Technology Engineering.

AE - Aeronautical Engineering

and many more...

Now I would suggest you, that choose a career on your strengths and areas of interest. If you are a computer freak, please do take any of the IT/CSE branch.

>>> If you are electronics and comm. fan please take that one and you would be able to develop and satisfy your interest working in it day night.

>>> Civil engineering is a boom now and would be for the next 50 years. India requires about 40 million CE's. So you can imagine the scope of it, India being a developing country.

>>> AE, EE, ME are also good streams and depends from person to person what interests them. All these are evergreen streams and would always fetch you work if not in India, then in abroad.

So go for any stream you want to study further, and certainly you would excel in it in life.

All the best

Regards
