I did PG in CAD/CAM(Mechanical Engineering) and want to go for NET exam so which subject should i prefer/select for the same?

You can appply in CSIR Net but not in CBSE NET as In CBSE NET there is no mention of your subject in subject list.
CSIR NET exam has following subject option to apply for :
>> Chemical Sciences
>> Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
>> Life Sciences
>> Mathematical Sciences
>> Physical Sciences

The subject in which you have master's degree comes under the Physical Science. So you can appply for CSIR-NET exam in Physical sciences subject category.
