• To be considered eligible for the National Eligibility Test, you must hold a masters degree.
• The minimum percentage of marks required in the qualifying examination is 55% marks.
• For candidates belonging to Sc/St category, the required percentage of marks is relaxed upto 5% .
• Candidates belonging to OBC category are not supposed to get any kind of relaxation.

Now, in order to apply for the test, you must refer to www.ugcnetonline.in.
The test is conducted in the month of June and December every year and as soon the test is scheduled, online application process starts on the website mentioned earlier.
