If you are in B.Tech. 3rd year then you can apply for UES which is University Entry Scheme.
UES is the entry scheme for Engineering Graduate who are in final or pre final year .
So if you have no backlogs in previous semesters then you can apply for this entry scheme.
The age limit is different for different academy. For Air force age must be 19 to 23 years and for Navy age must be 19 to 22 years.
You have to apply for this entry when the notifications are out. Notifications come twice a year in the month of May/June and November/December.
You have to apply on a prescribed form and wait for the call . If you are shortlisted you will be called for SSB interview. After clearing SSB you can complete your engineering from Defence if you pass the medical fitness test.
You can also join defence after passing your Graduation through CDS and AFCAT exam.

Dear Friend,

Nice to hear that you want to join Indian Army but my friend sorry to say but at present you are ineligible to become an Army Officer.

This is because if you have missed NDA Exam , then you can join Defence Through the Combined Defense Services Exam.

This Exam is conducted twice every year as CDS-I & CDS-II by the Union Public Service Commission.

The Minimum Educational Qualification that you should have in order to appear in the CDS Exam are :

* You must have passed your graduation from any recognized college/university.

* Final Year Graduation Students are also eligible.

So currently you are in 3rd year of B.tech , so you have to wait for one more year to acquire the eligibility for the exam.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
