Nice to see that you are Interested to become IAS Officer in future and to become IAS Officer, you have to complete your Graduation first in any discipline and after completing Intermediate examination, you can not apply for Civil services examination to become IAS Officer.

The examination is conducted by UPSC Every year in two stages, preliminary and Mains.

If you are Interested to Become IAS officer then you can start preparation just after passing Intermediate examination, 3 year preparation is too good to cracked this examination, Please start preparation as per the pattern and syllabus. The selection rate is very less in this exam as compared to other examination.

Very few will be able to become IAS Officer, you need to work very hard to cracked this exam.

To apply for this examination, you have to complete your graduation in any discipline and your age should between 21 to 30 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Final year graduate appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Dear,

Yes of course you are required to take a college because to write for IAS or IPS you need to have at least a graduation degree. You can do BSc, BA or B.tech as per your interest. being in the final year of your college you will be eligible to write for the preliminary exam for IAS.

Also your age should be between 21-30 years.

If you become an IAS officer, you become part of the Indian Administrative Service. You will be part of the government.
To get into the IAS, you will have to give the “UPSC held Civil Services Examination”. It is a common exam for getting into the IAS, IPS etc.

There are following steps to become an IAS officer:
STEP1:
In month of may or june you need to give preliminary exams for it.It is called civil services aptitude test i.e. CSAT. It consists of following sections:
  1. general aptitude
  2. logical reasoning

STEP2:
After qualifying prelims you are required to write mains exam which is held in october every year.It has following sections:
  1. Essay type indian language
  2. Enligh paper
  3. general studies
  4. general essay
  5. optional subject paper

STEP3:
Finally after qualifying mains you will be called for interview. After qualifying which you will become an IAS!

Though these steps seems easy but its really not easy to become an IAS. apart from Intelligence some personal capabilities are also needed to become an IAS officer.
  1. Discipline
  2. self-confidence
  3. Punctuality
  4. Commitment
  5. Patience
  6. Endless desire to be the best among others.
So give your best!!

Hello Friend......

Nice thought, but there is no chance to become a IAS Officer with 12th standard.......

aspirant Candidates first crack the Civil examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly once

Required educational qualification for Civil examination is, must have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university

your age should between 21 years to 30 years (if your a general candidate), otherwise age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per governments norms as follows, for SC/ST candidates 5 years relaxation and 3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates

Candidate should be a citizen of india

Selection procedure for IAS is , first Preliminary examination then mains examination, medical test, interview.....etc......

so friend first complete your graduation successfully then you can eligible Civil Examination

all the best.........

You can sit for the exam provided you follow the eligibility norms:
