How can I become an IAS officer while studying in 12th commerce
i am studying in 12 commerce. after 12 what should i do for becoming an IAS officer?
i am sure that i will get above 90% in 12th class cbse board. and for Bcom im going to DU DELHI pls tell me for doing IAS |

First of all you need to complete graduation (B.Com) to become eligible for IAS. Selection of candidates is done through CSAT and mains exam. You can attempt the selection process 4 times before the age of 30 years. You can prepare for the exam after collecting the detailed syllabus. For mains exam, you can select one of the optional subjects listed in UPSC website.

12th pass are not eligible to apply for IAS examination. You need to pass atleast Graduation if you want to become a IAS officer.
Graduation in Any discipline from a Recognised University are only eligible to apply. Those who are in final year of Graduation and expecting there result in time are also eligible to apply for it. But age must be according to the IAS norms means Age should be between 21 to 30 years if you are general category candidate. There is age relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC , PWD and Ex Servicemen categories. The number of attempts for General Category is 7 , for OBC it is 4 and for SC/ST there is no limit in attempts. The selection is a three tier procedure: -Civil Services Aptitude Test -Civil Services Mains Exam -Personal Interview So get good marks in above examination and become an IAS officer. IAS is acivil service exam which is conducted by UPSC board
1. The basic eligibility is degree in any stream from recognised university 2. The age limit is 21-30 years 3. Physical fitness is compulsory 4. The number of attempts is 4 for OC's , 7 for BC's and no limit of SC/ST's all the best....... |

It is not possible to become an IAS officer while studying in 12th as the minimum academic qualification for IAS is Graduation.
IAS - Indian Administrative Service and to become an IAS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The selection is through three phases:- -CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam -Civil Service Main Exam -Personal Interview So as you are interested for IAS, you can apply for Civil Service Exam after Graduation but you must start your preparation accordingly after 12th along with regular under Graduate studies as this exam needs rigorous preparation to crack. For becoming an ias officer, you will first have to get admission in graduation course and complete it with atleast 60%marks. After that you will become eligible for giving ias exam. The age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years which increases to 35 years for sc/st students. After clearing the exams, there will be personal interviews. After 12th you should complete your graduation, because for civil service exam candidate must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university. So all the first you complete your graduation, after then you can apply for Civil Service exam and get your dream job. It is great that you are confident enough in scoring 90% of marks in your 10+2 which is very much required for all the candidates.
If you have confident in you, you can do anything. You can become IAS Officer also as you are expected to do. As you are going to join B.Com course after 12th Commerce,this will also be an added advantage for you. Here is the route map for you to become IAS Officer. First, try to complete B.Com course successfully by gaining good subject knowledge and by securing good percentage of marks. Start preparation for civil services exam which will let you to become IAS Officer from the very beginning of your 2nd year B.Com course. Selection procedure for IAS would involve Civil Services Aptitude Test Civil Services Main Exam Interview Not only for IAS, in order to join any civil service, this is the common selection procedure.
