Hi, friends, i have completed my Bcom , now i want to appear for Income tax officer exam..so can any one tell me , how many exams are conducted for the post ? when the 1st exam gonna start ( is it in january 2011 , or july 2011 or december 2011 ) ? from where i'll get the form ? when is the last date to submit the form ? please help me out friends...my email id is [email protected] ...............awaiting for your reply.

Abhijit there are different test conduct for Income tax Officer, the most comman is SSC exam, you can get different option also.

All you have to do is look continously on the SSC website, you can get all related information easily.

Also you have prepare well and with hardwork.

For that you can apply for civil service exam conducted by UPSc and then choose IRS cadre.

All you need to do is apply for Union Public Service Exam and you have to write the exam under the Indian Revenue Services scheme. It is really a tough competition out there . Please prepare well.

Competition sucesss and TAXMANN should be your bible for the next few years until you clear.

*Graduation from affiliated university with min. Aggregate 60%, or equivalent in any stream.
*Age limit- 18-27yr. On 1st July of exam year.

Yes , B.COM are eligible for INCOME TAX OFFICER . but your course must be approved by UGC.

Income Tax Officer Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit the Income Tax Officer.

The eligibility criteria for INCOME TAX OFFICER :-

Eligibility criteria

1.Qualification:

you should have any degree of a recognized University, or equivalent.

2.Age:

Your age should not be not less than 18 years and not greater than 27 years on the first July of the year of examination.

3.Application form:
For the next exam the application form will be available from first week of February 2012 at SSC official website at http://www.ssconline.nic.in.

Income Tax Officer exam conducted by SSC.

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission.

Eligibility Criteria:

You should be origin of India.

You should complete the Graduation from recognized University with any stream.

No percentage required for this exam.

The candidate min age limit is above 18 years.

The candidate max age limit is below 27 years.

No upper age relaxation for other categories.
