How to become an IPS officer? What is the minimum marks required?
I want to become ips officer,in which language should I write in exam and what is the minimum mark I should score?im waiting for the answer.

IPS exams are conducted by UPSC every year.
To become IPS officer you need to complete your Graduation from a recognized university.It is under Civil Service Exam conducted once in a Year by UPSC.To become an IPS Officer you need to crack Civil Service Exam. Minimum qualification required to appear for IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.There is no percentage criteria for this exam. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Educational Qualifications for IPS : Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. You need to qualify civil services examination to join as IPS Officer. You can attend the test in English medium. Cut off score is decided by UPSC and it varies over years. Bachelor's degree in any stream is the required qualification for IPS Officer. Age of the applicant must be between 21 and 30 years.
