IPS i.e. Indian Police Service.

-To join this service, you have to appear in Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) once in a Year.



Educational Qualification required for IPS:

-You should have passed Bachelor degree course in any stream from recognized institute/college/university.

-If you are in the final year of such program then you can also apply.

-There is no restriction on minimum percentage of marks.

-You must be an Indian Citizen.

-If you complede M.B.B.S., then you can also apply.



AGE required for IPS:

Your Age must be-

between 21 to 30 years for General catagory candidates

Between 21 to 33 years OBC candidates

Between 21 to 35 years for ST/SC candidates.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.There is no marks criteria for the candidate.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
Also you must be citizen of India.

what is the salary of an ips officer?

Sir would u suggest some books which are helpful

CHEST:- Male-85cm while Female-79cm
expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The Minimum Height Required is :

a) Male - 165cms

b) Pahari Male (General Also) - 160cms

c) Female - 150 cms

d) Pahari Female (General Also) - 140cms

The height required for IPS exam is:

*For females 155 cms
*For males 165 cms

And weight is proportional to height.

The qualification for the exam is:

* You hold graduation degree from recognized university.

*Age limit 21-30 yrs.

Dear friend the average height required to become an IPS officer is 165 cm for male and 150 cm for Female.

Indian Police Services (IPS) exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years

Number of Attempts:-
