The candidate must be graduate from any university.

Age Limit :
For General :21 to 30 years.[SC/ST will get 5 years age relaxation and OBC will get 3 year age relaxation]

SC/ST: Unlimited.
OBC :7.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
Also you must be citizen of India.

You apply after graduation you give UPSC exam with 60 % any reconiged university and
age limit 21 to 30 years.You must be indian.You give this exam 4 times in whole life and relaxation
OBC -3 years ,SC -5years and HC -10years.
The Examination is conducted by UPSC IAS ANS IPS exam .
The examination is divided into three levels namely , Preliminary Examination , Main
Examination and interview.
Preparation of IPS Entrance Exam
This exam is very tough :
- You need to know the current news and other happenings of the Indian economy.
- You can practice previous question papers.
- Reading English newspaper daily updates........

Dear aspirant,

-You can apply for IAS/IPS exam which is conducted by UPSC (union public service commission).

Qualification require:

A Candidate must have completed their Graduation Degree in any stream with at least 55% from Recognized Universities......

Final year Graduation Student also applicable.....

what is the cutt off for sc/st candidates to qualify the exam of upsc.

It is good that you want to become IPS officer and to serve the country. Here is the complete information in accordance to that.

Every year UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) will conduct common written exam called civil services Exam to recruit the candidates into all civil services like
IAS
IPS
IRS etc.

The selection process involves
Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

Academic Qualification :
Candidates should possess Graduation as the minimum academic qualification.
Candidates who have appeared for final year Exams of Graduation and waiting for the results can also apply for this Exam.

Age criteria :
For General category : 21-30 years.
For OBC category : 21-33 years
For SC or ST category : 21-35 years

If you possess the above mentioned eligibility criteria, then you can apply for CSAT Exam of this academic year.

The notification will be released on 17-05-2014 and you can submit application forms till 16-06-2014.
