There is no relation of being lecturer with GATE percentile.

If you have a BTECH degree apply for the post in the college give a demo and you will be eligible.

Hi

GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is an exam which is conducted by the IIT's to select candidates for the various M.Tech programs streams in the 13 IIT,s NIT,s and other colleges across India.

Now a lot of students apply for this exam who are studying graduation in B.Tech/B.E/B.Pharmacy and B.Arch.

As you say that you have 79 percentile, I would like to inform you that GATE score and percentile doesn't exactly have to do anything with the selection of the lectureship But Yes it can come in handy to prove your knowledge level.

Firstly you have to apply in the colleges or universities where you seek admission as a lecturer. You have to give demo classes in front of senior faculties in that university and students.

If you are able to impress them, and you hold true knowledge, then you can surely get a job there.
Your GATE score would be an added benefit that you can display and use for this.

Otherwise there is the exam NET - National Eligibility Test which is conducted by the UGC to give you a degree for lectureship.
You can select the subjects you want to appear for it. Once you clear it, you would be a certified lecturer

Then getting a job in any university would be easy.

You can Click Here for more details.

All the best.
