After completing B.COM, the best way to become custom officer is to give civil services exams conducted by UPSC,only by giving civil services exam, one can become custom officer.Apart from civil services exam, there is no way to become custom officer.

The civil services exam are conducted by UPSC and is entry for all high ranking civil services named as IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS and almost any other apart from them.Custom department also get its officer through civil services,just like IAS, IPS custom services is a group-A gazetted officer post.Just like IAS, IPS, IRS it is required to pass civil services to get assigned as a custom officer.The minimum qualification required to apply for civil services is graduation in any stream with any percentage of marks.

The process of selection is three stage-
1)Preliminary Exam
2)Mains Exam
3)Interview

All three stage are necessary to clear one by one,failure in any one would lead to disqualification.
The notification of exam are released in the month of May every year on the official website of UPSC.
