The minimum qualification to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree and age limit is 21-32 years.

The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates are eligible for final selection after qualifying in all the stages.

You can not become a district Magistrate after 12th as an academic qualification. To become district magistrate, you should pursue bachelor's degree.

After bachelor's degree apply for Civil Services exam. To apply for exam, minimum age required is 21 years then crack all stages of exam and secure rank below 100. Then after certain years of experience in administration, you can become DM.
