I m doing my B-Tech....
And i want to go in irs so
Which exam is required for that??

IRS - Indian Revenue Service, to become an IRS officer under Central Govt. you have to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The selection is through three phases:-

-CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

As you are pursing B.Tech. so after completion of which you can apply for Civil Service Exam.

IRS , officer is the fourth most respected officer of Civil Services after the IAS's , IPS's , and IFS's.IRS officers are concerned with the collection , administration,and policy formation of direct (income,corporate,wealth,FBT etc) and indirect (Central Excise,Service Tax, and even Custom Duty )taxes.
These oficers are the tax administrators of India .

IRS exam is conducted by UPSC every year .So , you have fulfill eligibility criteria in order to sit for entrance exam .

1.Need to complete or appearing in final year of graduation in any field from recognized college or university.

2. Your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.
There is relaxation in upper age limit : 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

After your electronics engineering course you will become eligible for all the graduation based exam that is IRS.

How To become an IRS Officer

:

1.The aspirants has to procure the " Application Form" along with :Information Broucher:from any of the "Head Post Office " and then you need to fill the apllication form to :

The Secretary,
Union Public Service Commission,
Dholpur House,
New Delhi-110011.

The notification for the examination with relevant details regading rules and syllabus is publishedin the month of December in the "Employment news"/"Rozgar Samachar",Gazette of India,and some leading NewsPaper as well.
