CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation.

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate Level preliminary exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Those candidate who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CBI exam.

Age criteria :-

(i) Assistant Grade & Sub Inspectors in CBI –
Age between 20 - 27 years.
(ii) Inspectors of CE / IT & Divisional Accountants/Auditors/ UDCs –
Age between 18 - 27 years.
(iii) Sub Inspectors in Central Police Forces –
Age between 20 and 25 years.

CBI , Physical Standard for Male Candidate :-

i) Physical Standards ( Minimum )

Height 157.5 cms.
Chest 81 cms. ( expanded of 5 cms. )

ii) SSC Physical Test :

Walking : 1600 metres in 15 minutes.
Cycling : 8 Kms. In 30 minutes.

CBI , Physical Standard for Female Candidate :-

i) Physical standards ( Minimum )
Height 152 cms.
Weight 48 Kgs.

ii) Physical Test

Walking : 1 Km. in 20 minutes.
Cycling : 3 Kms. in 25 minutes.

c) Vision :

Eye-sight ( with or without glasses )
Distant vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.
Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

The full form for CBI is Central Bureau of Investigation.Ii is an agency which detects crime and solve the cases.The criteria to join CBI are following:-
-The candidate should be a citizen of India.
-The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline.
-The candidate age limit to apply for the exam is 20 yrs to 27 yrs for general category,there is age relaxation of 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST.
-The candidate have to appear for SSC Combined Graduate level Examination for the CBI SI Post .
-The selection process comprises of;
*Written preliminary exam:
General intelligence and general awareness
Arithmetic
*Main exam:
General studies
English
Arithmetic
Language
Communication skill and writing

*Personality test: its final stage for selection check your personality and mentality check
