To Join Indian Airforce Just After Passing Class 12th, You need to apply for the UPSC NDA exams:

Education:

Indian Airforce and Indian Navy Wing- 12th class or Intermediate Pass.In class 12th you should have studied the subjects Physics and Maths.

Indian Army- 12th class or Intermediate Pass in any stream


Age-
Minimum 16.5 years
Maximum 19 years
No age relaxations is given to any candidates who apply for the NDA exams

Next NDA exams would be held in April 2014

Only Candidates born between 2nd January 1996 to 1st July 1998 can apply for these exams

Male candidates are only allowed to apply for the NDA exams


Selection Procedure involves:

>> SSB interview

Absolutely YES, you can join Indian Air Force after completing 12th with PCM group.

You just need to crack NDA Entrance Examination which is conducted by UPSC every year.

NDA=> National Defence Academy
UPSC=> Union Public Service Commission

NDA Entrance held twice a year in the form of NDA(I) & NDA(II) Exam.

Selection Procedure through NDA Exam:

Written Exam
SSB Interview
Physical Test

Basic Eligibility Criteria for NDA Exam:

You should have completed 12th standard with PCM group from recognized school.

You can also apply for NDA exam while doing 12th standard.

You must have an Indian citizenship.

You should be male(Unmarried).

Your age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

HSC passed candidates can join air force by qualifying NDA examination. But they should have studied physics and mathematics as subjects in 12th class. Your age must be between 16 ½ and 19 years. You must be a male and your marital status must be single. Applications for NDA test can be submitted online through the website of UPSC that conducts the test two times a year.
