well..in order to join the indian army..u need to give IMA or NDA exam..u can give these exams after ur 12th or after completing ur graduation..there is no such compulsion whether u have maths or not..it is not a criteria for selection..

Dear guest you need not to be worry with Commerce or without commerce you can join Indian army if you wish and have the guts . just keep traking on the vacancy announcements and apply for it . The exam name is NDA. your steam doe's not matter . Wish you all the best

There are following entries through a eligible candidate can join Indian Army :-
1]On 12th base you can join NDA .For that you will have to appear in the NDA .
And after clearing the exam you will have clear the entrance exam .Then you will have to
face SSB interview .After clearing SSB then you will have to go for medical .After clearing the medical you are eligible for ARMY.
Age limit 16.5-19 years.
1]CDS -Combined defence srevice this exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.
This exam is only for those candidate who has completed their graduation in any discipline.
Age limit 19 -24 years .
2]SSC- Short service commission a candidate can also join army as a officer through SSC
entrance exam .This paper is also conducted by UPSC .But it is short service commission
it means a candidate can serve in Indian army for limited period .

After 12th, you acn join indian army through NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY),conducted by UPSC.

for appear in this exam you must have 12th degree from a recognized board.for taking admission in military wing.

But for taking admission in naval or air wings of the indian army, you must have 12th degree with PHYSIC & MATHS and must score at least 60%.

the age limit for this exam is 16.5-19.

also you must possess nationality indian & having marital status unmarried..

A Commerce graduates can join indian army and minimum percentage is 60% or just pass-out you are in good position....

yes, Commerce graduate without math holders can join Indian Army.

to join in the Indian Army being a Commerce graduate, you have to give UPSC exam.

through the UPSC-CDS exam you can join in the Indian army after doing Commerce graduate.

eligibility criteria for the UPSC-CDS exam are given below

>>minimum degree qualification from recognized institute.

>>minimum 60% marks in graduation.

>>>age limit should within 18-24 years.

>>heights should minimum 165 cm.

One can join Indian defence forces by following entry schmes for which eigibility is diffrent from each other:

National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination :For 10+2 paased/ appearing students.

Technical entry Scheme (TES) : For 10+2 paased/ appearing students with PCM.

Combine Defence Services (CDS) Examination : For bachelor degree holders.


Short Service Commission (SCC) Examination: For bachelor degree holders with minimum 60 % aggregate marks.


University Entry Scheme (UES) : For rngineering degree holders.

National Cadet Corp (NCC) special entry scheme : For NCC 'B' and 'C' certificate holders.

Eligibility for Indian Army :-

1) 10+2 (Through NDA)

You have to take an entry level exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to join NDA (National Defence Academy).
Eligibility for UPSC exam :-
a) Sex :- Male.
b) Age Limit :- Between 16 1/2 and 19.

Application Forms are published in leading
newspapers during March /April.

The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India.

Each year course start twice January and July.

UPSC (NDA) Syllabus is based on CBSE syllabus.

After clearing the written exam you have to go through a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step .

On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training.


2) Engineering Graduates (Direct Entry)

Engineering graduate can join the Indian Military Academy directly.

So, you only need to attend the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.

Eligibility :-
Age Limit :- Between 20-27 years at the time of joining.

The course starts every year in the month of January and July.
Advertisement of the application form published in March/April & Oct./Nov in employment newspaper.
