i need information for joining indian army.what are the ways to join and how to apply for it.

there are so many scheme to join in indian army. first you have to determine in through which scheme you want to join in indian army then you have to apply for that scheme. here i am giving details fo two such scheme.

Tech Entry Scheme(TES)

Month of Commencement of Course each year - January and July

Age at the time of joining - 16 and 1/2 to 19 and 1/2 years

Educational Qualification - 10+2 Pass with 70% aggregate in PCM.

How to Apply - Apply directly to the Recruitment Directorate in response to advertisement in May and November

National Defence Academy(NDA):-

Month of Commencement of Course each year - January and July

Age at the time of joining - 16 and 1/2 to 19 years

Educational Qualification - Class 12 of the 10+2 system of education or equivalent

Mode of selection - NDA exam by UPSC and SSB interview

How to Apply - Apply in response to advertisement in March/April & Oct./Nov.

Also for your information, to get into the officer's entry you need to sit for NDA after 12th or CDS after graduation. You can also go for University entry scheme for engineers in the pre-final year.

definitely after any graduation course, you can join indian army.


to join in amry, you have to appear an qualify UPSC exam.

through UPSC exam, you can join in Indian army.

the criteria to attain in the UPSC exam is

minimum graduation in qualification with 55% marks.

age limit 21-29 years.

There are many ways to join the Indian Army. At first go through the different schemes and find out your eligibility for the same. Tech Entry Scheme (TES) and National Defense Academy (NDA) are two such schemes. You can visit the official website to get more information regarding this.

You can join in Indian army as a officer through CDSE exam , through SSC.

Procedure of joining in INDIAN ARMY:-

First you have a bachlor BE/BTech degree form any recognized institute ,
then you have to clear the written exam , and then face the interview

age limit required:- 19 to 23 years

Advertisment schedule:- will be released in the mounth of Mar/ Sep

In order to join the Indian Army , you need to have the following characteristics:-

-> 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 60% marks.

-> Only unmarried male candidates can apply for it.

-> Age limitation is between 16.5-19 years.

it is good to know that you are interested in indian army which is one of

the powerful army forces of the world and provides employment to half of

the citizen in india to protect our country.

Eligibility to join indian army:-

• first and foremost requirement to join indian army is that one should be an indian citizen.

• one should be at least 18 years and above to serve in any post of indian army.

• the education qualification to join any indian army commission should

be minimum of 10+2 which later includes graduation, post graduation and more.

10+2 (through nda):-

one has to take an entry level exam conducted by union public service

commission (upsc) to join nda (national defence academy). This exam is

conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout india.

Graduates (direct entry):-

the upsc holds an all-india competitive examination, known as the combined

defence services examination (cdse), twice a year for university graduates

or equivalent.

Engineering graduates (direct entry):-

an engineering graduate can join the indian military academy directly. They

only need to attend the service selection board interview. Age at the time

of joining should be between 20-27 years.students who are in final and pre-

final years of engineering degree course can also apply to indian army as an

officer. They are eligible for induction into technical branches/services

the army as commissioned officers under the university entry scheme. Age

should be between 19-25 years for final year engineering students.



Medical procedure:-

• medical fitness is one of the important requirements to join indian army.

• candidate would undergo thorough medical check up for qualifying any post of indian army.
