Re: How to make a good career after B.tech in Mechanical Engineering?
dear friend,
After B.Tech you can either do further higher studies as well as looking for jobs. And as you a mechanical engineer then you can apply for government jobs in Railways,Defence,NTPC etc. As you applied in SINGARENI COLLIERIES, you can join it but i suggest you to looking for other government jobs. & kindly read employement newspaper for the knowledge of vacancies in government sectors. good luck. |

Re: How to make a good career after B.tech in Mechanical Engineering?
Hi Satish
In SCCL they select the candidates only based on merit. I don't know hom much Percentage you have obtained in B.Tech As per its official notification in its website, they will be shortlisting candidates on the basis of merit and vacancy in the ratio 1:10. Exam is of 2 hours duration and will be of objective multiple choice only Will be based on your subject stream So, prepare urself well covering all the major issues of your subject, and work hard. Your software proficiency is not going to help in any way. Be prepared in your last years portion. Since it is govt. sector, competition will be very high. All the Best..... |

Re: How to make a good career after B.tech in Mechanical Engineering?
hi satish,
you can build a good career in this field my friend.. Mechanical engg has always been an evergreen course in the engineering field..Since it is a core engineering field,it has got great demand. just keep applying for reputed core companies, and in this case,i think that the private companies give better chance to fresh engineers to flourish.. If you like then you can go for master's course in mechanical engg i.e. M.E.,which will increase your career opportunities.. So go ahead. all the best. |

Re: How to make a good career after B.tech in Mechanical Engineering?
If you are still interested then i would suggest you to consider higher studies. How about MTech in Mechanical engg? You can specialize in a field of your interest... Mechanical engineering jobs are openly available and i am sure you will never find any shortage of the job in this field as its an evergreen field However if you want to make a good career in it then MTech will be the best option. If you want to go for the job then its fine no issues but MTech will just be a perfect career So think about it |

Re: How to make a good career after B.tech in Mechanical Engineering?
Quote:
PGD courses are not very much recommended for mechanical engineering graduates. If you are not getting a job with your BTech degree then MTech would be better than PGD option. There are no alternate of studies and tests. So you will have to face both. The problem of placement in private college is increasing day by day and hence the competition is being tougher regularly. If you are determined to work i core industry then you should go for the recruitment tests of various companies. Waiting for a company in your campus is not the solution. Every year various companies recruit engineers through written test and person interviews. apply for them and go through the process. If you are really a guy of your subject then you should have the enough knowledge to crack those exams. The companies you can apply for this year are ONGC, SAIL, JSPL, NTPC, CIL, IOCL etc. Thank You |

Re: How to make a good career after B.tech in Mechanical Engineering?
dear friend
Firstly, I have tell you that Mechanical engineering is one of the best course in now a days and this field is evergreen and you will get jobs easily after completing this course. But, you will find jobs only when, if you have scored good marks in this course. But to complete this course from good colleges, its very difficult task. So, after completing your Mechanical Engineering degree you may pursue your career in different fields. So, this field is considered to be dynamic because apart from the studies you tend to learn many more things. So, if you are interested to make your career bright in this filed, then i will suggest you, just score good marks and get more practicle knowledge more than theoritical knowledge. |
