Graduation in mechanical Engineering is the desirable qualification for a career in Merchant navy. Apart from this those who have completed HSC in Science stream can also join diploma course in marine engineering. You should have secured at least 60% marks in HSC. Upper age limit for the course is 25 years. You should have secured 50%marks for English in HSC. Those who have completed diploma in Marine engineering can start career in Merchant Navy.
