how many years will it take to complete the course of cs if i have started it after my 12th class?

It is really good that you are doing company secretary course. The time for completion of the course depends on one’s caliber and potential. The minimum time required to pass foundation course is 8 months. The foundation course should be completed with in three years. The minimum duration of the intermediate course is 10 months. You can join for final course after a minimum of 9 months after passing the intermediate. In any case you need a minimum of three years to complete the course of CS.

can i appear for the june exam by registering in the month of december???
is there any way like submitting the late registeration fee or something like that??

CS Course Details
Career as a Company Secretary is not only prestigious and financially rewarding but also carries with it a high level of job satisfaction.
Stages to become a Company Secretary

The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 has to undergo three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course i.e.
Foundation Programme
Executive Programme
Professional Programme

In addition, the student has to undergo Practical Training for about 15 months which a student may opt to start after passing the Executive Programme.

The Student who would like to join the Course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Company Secretaryship i.e.

Executive Programme
Professional Programme

Besides, the student has to undergo Practical Training for about 15 months.

Foundation Programme which is of eight months duration can be pursued by 10+2 pass students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream

Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams except Fine Arts.

Professional Programme can be pursued only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course.Training: A Student has to undergo 15 months Management Training in Companies sponsored by the Institute after passing the Executive or Professional Programme or under the guidance of a Company Secretary in Practice.

After qualifying Professional Examination and on successful completion of training a candidate is admitted as an Associate Member of the ICSI and can use the letters ACS after his/her name i.e. Associate Company Secretary.

Admission to the CS Course is open throughout the year. Examinations are held twice a year in June & December.
Cut off dates for admission to CS course:

For Foundation Programme

31st March for appearing in December Examination in the same year
30th September for June Examination next year

For Executive Programme

28th February for December Exams in the same year, 31st August for June Exam next year

CS Prospectus can be obtained from any of the offices of the Institute across India and Cost of Prospectus for Foundation Programme : Rs. 200/- by cash payment while
Rs. 250/- by Post or courier

Cost of Prospectus for the Executive Programme : Rs. 300/- by cash payment while
Rs.350/- by Post or courier

Payment Option : The payment can be sent to the Headquarters by demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India payable at New Delhi OR by cash across the counter from the Headquarters, Regional Offices & a few of the Chapters.
Fee Structure for CS Course

The fee for CS Foundation Programme is - Rs. 3600/-
for Executive Programme - Rs. 7000/- for Commerce Graduates while

- Rs. 7750/- for Non Commerce Students

Eligibility for Company Secretary Courses:

1:You should clear 3 stages to qualify as Company Secretary and these are:

i)Foundation Course

ii)Intermediate Course

2:The minimum eligibility to gain entry in the Foundation Course is a pass in 10+2 examination or its equivalent in any stream. As you have B.Com as well as MBA degree,so there is no problem.

Course Duration : 8 months duration

3:Intermediate Course:

you have to pass in the Foundation Course Examination of the ICSI Graduation degree or a Master's degree/Pass in ICWAI, ICAI can allow you entry in the intermediate course.

Course Duration : 9 months duration

4:Final Course:

Once you pass the Intermediate Course you automatically become eligible for admission to the Final Course.

Foundation Course:

One passing the Final examination of ICSI you will need to undergo a practical training after which, you will be completely eligible for the Associate Membership of the Institute.

The Training is of Training Orientation Program(TOP) is for 5 days and is done before commencement of training.

This is followed by training for 15 months after the candidate has passed the Intermediate Examination or Final Examination.

If you will join CS Course after class 12th then you will have to complete Foundation course first .The details about foundation course are as follows :

• All students who have passed class 12th with science,commerce and arts(except fine arts) are eligible for joining Foundation course.

Hiiiii........ The minimum age required to apply for the program is 17 years.
The aspirants must have a good command over English language.
Some of the institutes offering the programs are ICSI New Delhi; ICSI-SIRC House, Chennai etc.
After the program you can work in financial firms, private companies and banks.
The job covers arranging meetings, recording decisions and collecting information.
For junior secretaries the remuneration ranges from Rs.8000 to Rs.15000 plus per month.
There are foundation and executive programs.

CS-COMPANY SECRETARY is a correspondence course managed and conducted by ICSI(Institute of Company Secretary of India) and can be taken in any time of the year.

The CS course is divided in to three parts:-

FOUNDATION PROGRAM:- The candidate having 12th qualification from a recognised Board in any discipline within the age of 17 tears is eligible to apply for this program. The duration of this program is 8 months.

EXECUTIVE PROGRAM:- The candidate having completed Foundation Program or have completed Graduation Degree fro a recognised University in any discipline is eligible for direct admission to this program. The duration of this program is 9 months.
