Re: How much percentage is needed in B.Tech to attend GATE?
Dear Pritam,
The acronym for Gate is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. First of all, I would like to tell you that GATE examination has not require percentage. So, don't worry about that, you are eligible for GATE examination. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IIT's. The GATE Score of a candidate reflects the relative performance level of a candidate. The score is used for admissions to various post-graduate programmes (e.g. M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies. The score may also be used by Public sector units for employment screening purposes. The eligibility criteria required for the GATE examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/Computer application from any accredited college or university; or, * Completion of post-graduation in Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications from any recognized university. * Final year graduates are also eligible. * Percentage criteria is not necessary. * Age criteria is not required. * Nationality:- Indian. |
