i am doing my btech 3rd year electronics now. when should i attend gate exam?how much marks will needed to get admission on iit??

You can attend GATE exam in final year only. Cut off marks for admission may vary with time. Candidates with high score in GATE can expect admission in IIT’s. Also you need to have at least 60% marks in B.Tech to have admission in IIT. Allocation of colleges will be done during the centralized counseling process.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering .This exam is conducted for M-Tech admission , PHD admission and some of the organization recruit the candidate through GATE score.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department are applicable for GATE Exam.There is no marks criteria.

You are now 3rd year student from ECE department .But sorry to say that pre final year candidate can not apply in GATE exam but final year candidate can apply here .

You have one year in hand so prepare well to your text books .Also i have listed some books name which are help you very much .

There is no restriction for attempts in GATE exam .So you can try here maximum times.GATE score card is valid for TWO years.

If you have scored above 99 percentile ,then you will get admission in IIT institute for M-Tech course.

sir i m just going to start my 1 st year be in electronics engineering and want to go for gate .........but then it has papers for electrical and electronics ............does it make any difference .............be course from mumbai university .........pls help
