sir, I am studying 3rd btech. Now i want to join ncc but i dont know whether i can or not. If i can join now, please tell me the procedure.

As you are pursing 3rd year B.Tech. it is need less to join NCC.

NCC - National Cadet Corps which is a Govt. organisation engaged in training to young Indians regarding discipline and to some extent the activities of Defence Force in school and College level from which a candidate can acquire necessary knowledge about Indian Defence Force and accordingly he or she can prepare him/herself in future to join the Defence Sectors.

As you will complete your B.Tech. Graduation in the next year and if you are interested for Defence job then you can apply for CDS(Combined Defence Service) conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

NCC stands for National Cadet Corps. It involves several camps and activities.

Camps are:

1. Annual Training Camp (ATC)
2. Centrally Organised Camps (COC)
3. Leadership Camps
4. Vayu Sainik Camp
5. Nau Sainik Camp
6. Rock Climbing Camps
7. National Integration Camps (NIC)
8. Thal Sainik Camps(TSC)

Activities provided by them are:

1. Institutional Training
2. Camp Training
3. Attachment Training (Service Unit)
4. Air wing Training
5. Naval wing Training
6. Social Service and Community Development Activities.
7. Youth Exchange Program
8. Conduct of Republic Day Camp
9. Conduct of course at OTA Kamptee and OTA Gwalior for ANO’s.
10. Career Counselling and Personality Development..
11. Remount & Veterinary Unit Training.
12. Conduct of Certificate Examinations.
13. Conduct of Adventure Activities

Since you are in B.tech 3rd year your age must around 20-21 years in that case you can join SD/SW cadet having maximum age limit 24 years.You shall apply to the Officer commanding the unit.
If he is satisfied that the application is in order, and you fulfills the conditions of enrolment you will then have to go for medical examination for which they have their own criteria. If you will be found medically fit you will become an NCC cadet.

NCC is one of the best organization to train students for the country and serve good.

There are lots of opportunities to join in NCC after 10th standard itself.

As you are interested to join in it after B.Tech it will be tough for you to find a position for you.

NCC aims students to take them from 10th class and it goes on till 12th class.

After that the students are trained in a good manner so that they can serve the country.

You can join army by giving defence exams like the CDS exam as you are pursuing B.Tech.

So I suggest you to do that in order to achieve success.
