how to prepare for a civil services exam ?
i'm doing my first year B.E(E.C.E).

is that easy to prepare for a civil services exam without coaching?

After the B.E IN ECE you can apply for the civil service posts like :

IAS
IPS
IES etc

For these job posts entrance exam has been conducted by the UPSC department which are the most toughest entrance exam

For the clear the civil service entrance exam you need to be first know the entrance exam pattern and syllabus which you need to be study like :

1. Preliminary entrance exam : History, general knowledge, english comprehension etc

2. Main entrance exam : Technical question, optional subjects , english, general study etc

3. INterview etc

so you need to be do it preparation according to the paper pattern
