Re: How to prepare for IAS Exam being a candidate pursuing 1st year of Engineering in IT stream?
Many of the candidates have a desire to see themselves as an IAS officer. But it is not so easy to be selected as IAS.
One should have strond dedication towards the completion of syllabus and in understanding the subject knowledge to perform well in the respective Entrance Exams for IAS. For IAS, one has to crack civil services examination being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). The complete selection procedure for this will be by -CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) -Civil Services Main Examination -Interview The minimum academic qualification that you need to possess to take up this exam is by completion of Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation course can also appear for this Exam. So, I suggest you to hvae strong preparation of the following areas -General English -Aptitude -General Awareness which are a part of CSAT Exam. If you have qualified in the CSAT Exam, you will have to appear for Civil Services Main Examination. This exam will consists of questions from the 2 optional subjects which you have chosen while applying for this Exam. I recommend you to opt for the optional subjects which you are interested and where your academics subject knowledge is being better utilized. Wish you all the best. |
