NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happen twice time in a year.

Those candidate have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.Marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST candidate.

There is no age limitation for those who are applying for Lectureship but for JRF , Your age should not be more then 28 years.

From this year NET exam is fully based on objective type Question paper . Even paper III also objective type.

NET exam date for June session is already over so you can wait for Next notification for the exam of December 2012.

Hi,

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. NET exam conducted by the University Grant commission.

This exam will conducte by the award of Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) and also for eligibility into Lecture ship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The candidate should be citizen of india.

The candidate must have complete the post graduation from any recognized university.

The candidate must have to score a minimum of 55% of marks in the post graduation course to eligible for this exam.

Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the sc/st categories.

There is no upper age limit for the candidate Lecture ship.

But the JRF candidates the age limit is there. The age limit should be between 19 to 28 years.

For giving UGC NET u need to have a master Degree. You can choose any subject from your master degree.UGC NET consists of three papers
1) General studies (50 objective questions)
2) Your optional paper (50 objective questions)
3) Your optional paper (Subjective questions)

For Junior research fellowship the age limit is 28 yrs and there is no upper age limit for lectureship.

,sir l want to prepare net exam, l have passed pg inbotany in 1992, recently for the post of assistant proffesor in bihar published a news that those who passed m.sc without phd or net are also eligible for this post but they will must be appear in net exam which held in december 2014, please send me related information.
