I want to do 3yrs. PGD in cinematography. Can you suggest me how to prepare for its entrance exam?? What is its syllabus & how can I get previous years papers?

As part of the exam you will need to appear for the a written exam which will have two parts. In the first part you will need to appear for areas like gk and aptitude test. The second paper you need to choose from the list of optional papers. Thereafter there will be an interactive session and a viva voce. Make sure that aware of the art, culture areas.

Qualification for The SRFTI exam is
Qualification: • For Direction & Screenplay Writing, Cinematography, Editing Programmes:
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent
• Audiography (Sound Recording ) Programme:
Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent with Physics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level



The SRFTI written examination contains two paper.
Paper I:GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & MENTAL APTITUDE (Duration: 1 hour)

This objective type paper is the same for all candidates.General Knowledge will have questions on Art & Culture, Society & People with special focus on India.

Paper II :SPECIFIC AREA APTITUDE (Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes)

There will be separate question papers as per area of specialisation opted for i.e. Direction & Screenplay writing / Cinematography / Editing / Audiography( Sound Recording).

Those who clear the entrance exam will be called for the interactive orientation session and viva voce. Candidates will also be required to undergo a medical fitness test.




Generally, at Film & Television Institutes, questions will be given only to test your ability to answer within fixed time .
