SIR,Am Abijith. i completed my graduation in physics.now i would like to join in indian army.but i d'nt know how to apply ,which all are the courses offering there and also the procedures.i got 75% mark in plus two(science).but i got the bottom mark in mathematics(almost 55 % ) and i got 72% in physics,78% in chemistry. is it a barrier for me?i need your kindly suggestion my email id is [email protected]

You have completed graduation degree so you are applicable for Indian Army through CDS exam .The details of this exam is given below-

CDS examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Air force, Army and Navy.

The educational qualification and age criteria for CDS exam is given below-

Indian Military Academy:- You need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Your age should be between 19 and 24 years.

Air Force Academy:- You need to have a bachelor's degree in science with physics or mathematics or you can do B.E./B.Tech in engineering or technology.

Your age should be between 19 and 23 years.

Naval Academy:- You need to complete your graduation in engineering or technology or you can do B.Sc degree with physics or mathematics.

Your age should be between 19 and 23 years.

Officer's Training Academy:- You need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.

Your age should be between 19 and 25 years.

The last date for applying for CDS I exam had already passed for the year 2013 ,the important dates for the CDS II exam:

Date of notification:25/05/2013

Last date of receiving application: 24/06/2013

Date of examination:08/09/2013.

After completion of Graduation, the Indian Army can be joined through CDS.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Army(IMA) of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male candidate only having either appear for the final Grduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Health.

The CDS can be applied on line only by paying requisite fee for the exam.

The selection is through written Exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

As you have completed your Graduation with science stream and you wish to join Indian Army.As per your qualification you should apply for CDS(Combined Defence Services) Exam conducted by UPSC.

To apply for this exam you will need to meet these Eligibility :-

Nationality :- Indian.

Educational qualification :-
~You should be Graduation passed out with Physics/Mathematics Honors.
~Your degree should be recognized from the UGC.

Age :-
~Your minimum age should be 18 years.
~Your age should not be above 24 years.

Note :- In order to apply for CDS Exam 2013 your Date of Birth should be between 1991 to 1995.

Selection Process :-
~Written Exam(Objective Type).
~Personal Interview.
~Medical Fitness Test.

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for Indian Amry after passing Graduation with Physics.

For joining Indian Army you have to qualify the entrance exam.

You have to qualify the Combined Defence Services(C.D.S) exam.

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria for C.D.S exam:-
> Pass graduation with any stream from recognized University..
> Age should be above 19 year and below 24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

IMPORTANT DATE FOR C.D.E-II, 2013:-
Date Of Notification:-25.05.2013
Last date of submission of form:-24.06.2013 (MONDAY)
Date of exam:-08.09.2013 (SUNDAY)

If you want to join Indian Army after Graduation then this is the best option available for you and you must start preparing for it from today.

The age required for Indian Army through CDS examination is 19 to 25 years. So if you have the age then definitely you can apply for this examination.

At bachelor's degree level the most suitable entrance exam for you will be Combined defense services which provides you opportunity to join the different academies of defense .

This exam is conducted twice every year by the UPSC .The best thing is that it only requires passing % of marks in bachelor's degree .

UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts CDS examination twice every year in the months of February and September.
