If you start exam preparations now itself, you can clear GATE very easily. Questions for the exam will be asked from engineering mathematics and EEE subject areas. Prescribed books under B.Tech course can be used for exam preparation. Also you can refer books from publications like Upkars, S. Chand, etc. Practicing questions from previous year’s questions will be helpful for you.

Re: How to start for GATE preparation? I am in 3rd year B.Tech EEE
hi,dear,,
This is the best time to to start your gate preparation. First you have to learn all the concepts by reading standard books relating to your core branch. Then if you are poor in the subject, you have to take the gate coaching in like ACE academy,HYD. After that you must practice the gate topics in particular order. The referenced books for the gate preparation are... J.B GUPTA for bit bank[eee] MADE EASY for the previous question papers B.S GREWAL for the engineering maths R.S AGARWAL for aptitude NAGRATH&KOTARI for control systems C.L WADWA for power systems PROAKIS for digital signal processing BOYELSTED,and ROY CHOWDARY for electronics CHAKRABARTI for network theory D.V HAL for microprocessors by analyzing every concept in the standard books you can easily work out every problem of the J.B GUPTA bit bank, practice more times as you can and so that you will get confidence on yourself. Also you have to be perfect in the English vocabulary as they contribute 2 to 3 marks in the gate examination. Prepare well, all the best |
