In order to be considered eligible for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, you must have cleared all the papers of your final year of your bachelors degree program or should be in the final year of the program without any backlog. Candidates with backlogs are not considered eligible for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

Candidates pursuing or having completed bachelors degree program in Engineering, Technology or Architecture or masters degree in Science, Mathematics, Computer Applications or Statistics are considered eligible for the Test irrespective of the marks secured in the qualifying exam.

This Entrance Examination is jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology and for more information, refer to the official website of the Institutes or GATE.
