Re: Will I be eligible for MBA to write GATE exam?
For GATE exam MBA degree is useless since you have BE so your marks in BE will be counted for eligibility criteria. Those candidates who have min 60 % marks in engineering are eligible for this exam,55 % marks for ST/SC.GATE exam is conducted by IITs and IISc ,GATE 2014 will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur and all the papers will be online even mechanical and civil engineering papers will be online. You have dome master degree so i don't think that you are looking for M.tech, you are looking for job. Some companies which are recruiting through GATE are-
BHEl BEL NTPC ONGC BPCL HPCL HAL NALCO SAIL etc. |

Re: Will I be eligible for MBA to write GATE exam?
hi,
It is nice that you want to join MBA course after B.tech.. You have to apply CAT exam to do it. CAT Stands for Common Admission Test CAT is conducted by IIM's every year once in the month of October. And it's an entrance exam for MBA. Eligibility For CAT : You must have a degree with 50% You must get a good CAT percentile to get into IIM's It's more valuable if you have work experience CAT Exam Pattern : The duration of CAT is 2 hours and 30 minutes including initial 15 minute tutorial. No breaks will be given during the test. The test consists of questions on quantitative, verbal, and logical & data interpretation abilities. Therefore, there are a total of three sections in the test. There will be about 60 questions in the test. All the best...................... |

Re: Will I be eligible for MBA to write GATE exam?
Yes, you are eligible for GATE, as you are a B.Tech holder. You can attempt GATE any number of times. It is not mandatory to have any specific percentage of marks to attend GATE. PSU like NTPC, GAIL, and SAIL are recruiting candidates on the basis of GATE score. Each PSU specifies a cut off percentage in B.Tech also.

Re: Will I be eligible for MBA to write GATE exam?
It is not a problem of being completed with MBA course. You are eligible to join GATE Exams as you have completed BE course.
Here is the required eligibility criteria for GATE exam. One should have completed Graduation in Engineering with any of the stream from a recognized university. There is no upper age limit at all for the candidates to give this Exam. One can apply for this Exam at any age. There is no limit on the number of attempts for this exam. You can take this exam as many times as you wanted. In addition, the validity of the GATE score card is for 2 years. In the sense, if you have appeared for GATE exam in 2 consecutive years, you can use the GATE score which ever is best to get admission for M.Tech course. Yes. Whatever you said is exactly right. Many of the PUs are stared hiring the candidates only on the basis of GATE score and by conducting an Interview. Thats where GATE score has so much of importance. Have good preparation for GATE exam and crack it. Wish you all the best. |
