Sir, I'm malligarjun doing my pg degree now. It will be ending up in 2017. But I'm not strong in studies. If I get below 50% in degree ranking. Can I have any chance of becoming SI

Yes you can apply for SI post even if you have less than 50% marks in degree.

To become a SI you must have the following qualification :
1. You must be a citizen of India.
2. You must have completed degree in any stream from a recognised university.
3. The minimum age limit for applying for the post of SI is 20
4. The maximum age limit for applying for the post of SI is 25 years.
5. The upper age relaxation for OBC's is 3 years , SC/ST is 5 years.

Hey Guys yes you have a chance to become SI.
But there are some requirements if you have these qualities then you can become SI.

The following requirements are:

The candidate should be from India.
2)
There is a age limit for this:
For General Candidates age limit is from 21 to 25 years
For OBC the age limit is 21 to 28 years.
For SC/ST the age limit is 21 to 30 years.

Selection Process for SI:
1) Minimum height 168 cm
2)Minimum Chest 81 cm
3)Race of 5 km in 25 minutes

There are some events like Long Jump, High Jump, 100m Race etc you have to passes in all events.

Medical Test

1)
Eye test
2)
Bones tests and etc.
If you qualified all these then you become a SI. You have full fill all these requirements.

Definitely you will become after passing degree with an aggregate less than 50%.Because they are asking about degree only so you can apply for the post of SI.

If you want to become a SI just you need do few things only.First find out when will they release notification.After that you have to apply for this post and write the test,if you qualified written test you need to attend the events like physical events.
