The cut off are normally for each of section. They first check the overall score. For those who meet the required total score they check the score for each of the section. If any of the students does not meet the required score then the candidate is rejected. Those who meet will be called for the interview round.

Hello........IITJEE has two papers each of 3 hours and different total marks but both papers have physics, chemistry and mathematics questions only.
You have to pass in physics, chemistry and mathematics separately+You need to pass in paper 1 and paper 2 separately. |

Hi dude,
There is no seperate cutoff for both paper 1 and paper 2. But there is combined cutoff in both paper 1 and paper 2. You there is subject wise cutoff in each paper. And also you should be present for both the paper1 and paper2. Best wishes............................. |

Hi
IIT JEE stands for the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination. This exam is considered as the toughest under graduate examination in the country. Now earlier the competition used to be very low and so the rules and patterns of the IIT was also loose and light. But with the time the competition rose very high and so now the rules and regulations have also been made strict. Earlier there was a rule that only the score mattered whether you score maximum in physics and in chemistry and maths you couldn't score good. But still got a very high All India Rank. But now IIT has said that one has to clear the cut off in all the 6 papers that he/she would give. I.E In the first papers, each cut off of PCM have to be cleared. Also in the 2nd paper each cut off of PCM has to be cleared. Only then would you be eligible for the IIT counselling. So yes you are right. Individually you have to clear the cut offs All the best Regards RANJEET |
