dear friend,
for eligible to appear for IIT exam there should be 60% aggregate in 12th class. 60% marks is not necessary in only three subjects i.e. PCM.it requires aggregate 60% marks in 12th board. all the best. |

Quote:
Yes you have have minimum of 60% marks in your three main subjects i.e. physics, chemistry and maths.they are not concerned with your other marks. But friend don't loose heart as there are some colleges which noe take admission directly on the basis of marks of class 12th and also there are some good colleges which does not have this minimum criteria. So go for other exams. BEST OF LUCK!!! |

dear friends,
yes, you are eligible. becase in your case the best five subjects will be choosen but physics chmeisty and mathematics must included in the list of the fove subjects. if you will add the best five subjects marks then it is above 60% so you are eligible. |

Re: IIT JEE: Is 60% marks required in best of five subjects or only in PCM subjects group?
Dear friend
You need to score aggregate 60% in your 12th examination and there is no 'best 5' or 'PCM' marks kind of matters associated with it. You just have to score an aggregate of 60% in your 12th examination. Your aggregate is more than 60% so you would be eligible to appear the IIT-JEE. However, every year there is little bit changes in IIT system, so there could be some change. The complete information can be available only when IIT publishes rules and eligibility criteria again for IITJEE-11 and that would be available in October. Any changes regarding JEE will be published in the national dailies and also will be accessible once the application form is available. Thank you |
