You can apply in Merchant Navy exam after your 12th standard with science departments.


Eligibility criteria for Merchant Navy course

1. Unmarried male and female candidate are eligible .
2. Candidates passing 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics are eligible for Merchant Navy course.
3. Age requirement is not more than 20 years.
4. SC/ST Students 25 years is maximum age , these categories are given relaxation of five years.

Post in Merchant Navy for which you can apply

1. Deck Cadets Post
2. Navigating Officers Post

Physical Eligibility For joining Merchant navy as Deck Cadet are as follows: -

A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

1. Eye Sight = 6/6,

2. Height = 167 cms,

3. Weight = 50 Kg

4. Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

The exam DATE of Merchant Navy exam is not announced yet.

Yes you are eligible for the merchant navy course. You can apply for the Nautical science and Marine engineering courses after the completion of your 10+2.
The selection of candidates for the above course is made through written examination and personal interview. Candidates who qualify the examination will be called for the above course.To enter the navigational and engineering fields of Merchant Navy you have to complete your Bachelors degree in Nautical Science or Marine engineering first. After the completion of your degree you can apply for the navigational and engineering fields.

Yes you are eligible for the merchant navy . You can apply for the Marine engineering courses if you have completed 12 with maths group and age is less then 22 years.

The way to Merchant Navy is through BSc and BTech courses in Nautical Sciences and Marine Engg.

Indian Maritime University has already invited applications.

You need to have 10+2 and a JEE IIT score. The last date of applications is 20th Feb.

The Inst is having campuses at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Goa and Vizag

I think now the best way to join Merchant Navy after 10+2 is to pass the Indian Maritime University CET test and join the various colleges under it for the courses like
Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) leading to B.Sc N.S
B.Tech Marine Engineering
