# Being a diploma holder, it is not possible for you to become a CBI Officer.
# Minimum required educational qualification to become a CBI Officer is graduation in any discipline from recognised university or equivalent. Candidate below the educational qualification of graduation degree are not considered eligible to become a CBI Officer. # You are only diploma holder. So you are presently not eligible for joining as CBI Officer. You are advised to go for completion of degree either by lateral entry into degree or by direct admission into any bachelor degree programme. # After completion of graduation in any discipline, one have to apply for Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) conducted every year by Staff Selection Commission for the posts of CBI Officer along with various other posts. # Age limit fixed for Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE): * Minimum age of 18 years for all categories. * Maximum age of 27 years for general category. * Maximum age of 30 years for OBC category. * Maximum age of 32 years for Scheduled Caste category. * Maximum age of 32 years for Scheduled Tribe category. * Maximum age of 37 years for Physically Handicapped category. # Candidate has to appear for Preliminary Examination of objective type written test (also known as Tier-I Examination). The pattern of this examination is given below: * General English (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks) * Quantitative Aptitude (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks) * Reasoning Ability (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks) * General Studies & Current Affairs (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks) # The short-listed candidates out of Tier-I Examination are invited for Tier-II Examination (Objective Type written examination) which is conduced with following pattern: * General English (total 200 questions carrying total 200 marks) * Quantitative Aptitude (total 200 questions carrying total 200 marks) # The shot-listed candidates out of Tier-II Examination are called for anyone of followings as per requirement and fixed examination criteria of post: * Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) * Skill Test * Interview # For further information, please feel free to visit http://ssc.nic.in which is the official website of SSC. # Indispensable books for the preparation of SSC Examinations are: * Arihant's Objective English * Pearson Guide to English Language * Quantitative Aptitude by R.S. To become a CBI Officer, you will have to appear for SSC Exam.
Likewise Civil Services Exam, SSC exam also has three stages i.e.
In Preliminary Exam, following topics would be asked:
In Mains Exam, following topics would be asked:
Candidates who qualify Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam will be called for Personal Interview. Apart from Personal Interview, walking and bicycling test will also be conducted. |
