Qualification Required for CS examination
You can take admission in following two courses of CS :
  • Foundation course
  • Executive course

For getting admission in cs foundation course ,the minimum educational qualification is class 12th or intermediate from any stream .

For getting admission in cs executive course directly ,you should have a graduation degree from any stream.

CS means COMPANY SECRETARY course have two courses:-

1. FOUNDATION COURSE

2. EXECUTIVE COURSE

Minimum 12th Pass or Intermediate pass from any stream is required for admission into CS Foundation course

And a graduate from any stream can be admitted directly into the Executive Course of CS.

For doing company secretary course you should have following qualifications:

1)10th and 12th certificates
2)Any graduation degree course

Dear friend,
There is no entrance exam conducted by Institute of Company Secretaries of India for admission to CS course.
The minimum eligibility to pursue CS course is +2 or equivallent from a recognised institute.
With the above mentioned eligibility, you can enroll yourself for the foundation course. the duration of foundation course is 8 months.
The foundation course is followed by intermediate course which is of 9 months and the same is followed by final course.
During the course, you will need to undergo various practical training.After successful completion of the training course,
you will be awarded the membership of Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

There are 3 exams:
Priliminary
Subjects:
English
Book-keeping & accountancy
Elements of commerce
Economics &
Office management

Intermediate
Subjects:
Accountancy
Ecocnomics
Principles of law English
Secretarial practice &
company law

Final
Subjects:
Advanced accountancy
Secretarial practice
Mercantile law
Economics &
Company law
