Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD) and Department of Higher Education made a committee to review the current JEE system. After their analysis of current JEE system, the suggested changes in eligibility criteria are :

** Intermediate marks are not considered in evaluating the JEE rank.
** Intermediate marks are considered only for eligibility to appear in JEE.
** All other eligibility criteria to write JEE will remains unaffected.

The above mentioned changes are not frozen till now. These are the expected changes for JEE 2017.

No, till today there is no update or notification for JEE examination in 2017.

So, it is not possible for me to give you information about the changed patter of examination.

Most probably the examination notification will be released in month of November. So keep visiting the official website for any notification about examination.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and it is an entrance examination held by CBSE once every year for admission in Centrally Funded Government Institutes like IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM, etc. and private engineering colleges. It is held in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively.

--> The minimum requirement for appearing in the JEE Main examination are as here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age must have lying under 25 years till the 1st October of that year in which you will appear in the same examination. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for reserved category candidates.

* You must have either completed or pursuing the final year of that your Class 12th with PCM group with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a recognized board. Marks relaxation of 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates.

--> Where as for appearing in the same examination you need to clear JEE Main along with the aggregate that keeps you within the top 20 percentile candidates of your board. Student managing 75% ( 65% in case of SC/ST category ) in their boards are also eligible even if they does not satisfy the percentile criteria.

As far as you are concerned about the changes then the changes has been made in the procedure of giving admission in NIT and preparing overall rank list as the weightage of aggregate in board examination has been removed from the new session.

The notification will be released in November last week or in the first week of December. So, you now need to continue your preparation for examination.

As per 2016 notification the examination is conducted in tow stage as Main and Advanced. The maximum attempt for examination is thrice and twice respectively.
