There is no age limit to apply for the National Eligibility Test, conducted by the University Grant Commission.
Candidates who have qualified Masters Degree examination form a recognized university, with a minimum of 55%% marks are eligible to take the test, irrespective of their age. The required percentage of marks is relaxed upto 5% for candidates belonging to Sc/St category.

I have completed B.Sc. with instrumentation and M.Sc. with electronics science with 59%. At present I am at 31years. Can I appear in the NET? What is the maximum limit in lecturer in colleges. hope for your eariest reply.

A candidate must have completed their Post Graduate Degree with at least 55% from Recognized Universities. there are Relaxation Available for SC/ST category.

No Age Limit for Applying NET.

A candidate must have Nationality of INDIA.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happen twice time in a year.This exam is conduct in the month of December and June

For JRF :- Maximum Age limit is 28 years old .

Through NET Exam,you can apply for:-
>>Junior Fellowship.
>>Lectureship.

YES, you can appear for the CSIR-NET exams.

AGE--For Junior Research Fellowships >> Maximum 28 years as on 1st July of the Exam year Upper age limit is Relaxed for the OBC/SC/ST/WOMEN candidates by 5 years, so they can apply till the age of 33 years

For Lectureship >> No upper age limit.

Maximum age till which you can apply for the Asst lecturer is 45 years

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. NET Exam is being conducted by UGC (University Grants Commission).

National Eligibility Test is the exam which is conducted for college lecturer job by the University Grants Commission. NET only covers central government colleges. For job in state govt colleges the candidates are required to appear for State Eligibility Test (SET).

The NET entrance exam is conducted in June and December. Only post graduation degree holders are eligible to appear for it. The exam is conducted by University Grants Commission and only candidates who have completed post graduation with UGC affiliated college are eligible to appear for it.

As to answer your question, there is no upper age limit if you are appearing for college lectureship. However NET is also conducted for Junior Research Fellowship. If JRF is what you are applying for then the age limit is 28 years with relaxation for reserve categories.
