In 2016, Supreme Court gave a judgement that there should be one single entrance exam for admission in medical courses. NEET came into existence for admission in MBBS and BDS course in government and private medical colleges.

Now private medical colleges also take admission of candidates who have qualified NEET examination. However, donation is still rampant in case of MBBS admission. Higher is marks in NEET exam better is chance of getting admission. You should aim to score 65% marks in NEET exam.

As, per Supreme Court judgement of 2016 candidates interested in getting admission in MBBS, BDS course must have to appear and qualify in NEET examination.

The examination is conducted by CBSE and it is of 720 marks. So, candidate must have to secure at least 50% aggregate in examination to get admission in better private colleges. But it is necessary to score qualifying marks to get admission in any college, 2017 cut off is 131 marks

So, you must start preparation for examination to score better in examination and get admission in best colleges.

First think I would like to let you know that for admission in MBBS ( Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery ) degree course in any private or government medical college of India you need to at least qualify NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ).

Further the minimum qualification marks for NEET 2017 is 131 marks for general category, 107 marks for OBC/SC/ST/ PH category and 118 marks for candidates belonging to general cum PH category.

So you at least need 131 marks to be considered for counselling procedure for admission in MBBS if you belong to general category and 107 marks if you belong to SC/ST/OBC/PH category.

For more details about NEET you can refer to the link www.cbseneet.nic.in.

There is tough competition among medical candidates for admission in MBBS and BDS course in private as well as government medical colleges. You can not get admission in private colleges after just qualifying National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

NEET exam is of 720 marks. To get admission in good private medical college, your score in NEET exam should be anything above 360 marks. Some candidates with marks less than this benchmark are eligible to take admission in private medical college with help of donation.

The full form of NEET is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

Cut off marks of NEET exam for 2017:

General candidates: 131 marks.

Reserved category candidates: 106 marks.

It is mandatory for private colleges to take admission of only NEET qualified candidates in MBBS and BDS course. You should be at least qualified to be eligible for admission in private medical colleges of Uttarakhand. If your marks are more than qualifying then its better.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance examination in India.

Cutoffs are based on the toughness of the paper and No. of students giving that Exam.

In Uttarakhand,
You should need above 545 marks to get into Govt. College.
Or for Private ones Marks 485+/-10 will get you into some Good Private college.
