Graduation is the only requirement for the IBPS Bank PO Exam. Percentage in graduation does not matter, but you should have a graduation degree. Also it does not matter whether you have completed BA or B.Com, regardless of any degree, you will be eligible for the IBPS Bank PO.

For the post of Probationary Officer you need to sit for the IBPS CWE Exam which is conducted not only for the PO post but also for many other posts like Clerical Cadres, Specialist Officers and so on. This recruitment exam is conducted on a huge scale because almost 19 public sector banks participates in this one. So cracking this would mean getting a job in any one of these banks.

To sit for this exam you need to complete graduation first from a recognized university. The subject combination is of little importance here so you have the liberty to choose any discipline of your choice.

Dear friend IBPS stands for Institue of Banking Personnel Selection.

IBPS conduct Common Written Exam every year for po and clerk for 20 public sector of bank.

Eligibility criteria IBPS PO Exam:-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University.


Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

Age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates 5 years and

OBC category candidates age relaxation for 3 years.


Selection process:-

IBPS means Institute Of Banking Perssonel Selection

IBPS conducts the written exam called Common Written Test (CWE) for the recruitment of various posts for banks .

The minimum eligibility for hte PO means Probationary Officers exam is as follows :
1. Nationality :Indian

2. Educational qualification:
A candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from any recognised university with :

60% marks for General category and
55%marks for the reserved category.

3. Age :

General category : 20 to 30 years of age
OBC :20 to 33 years
SC/ST :20 to 35 years
Ex-servicemen :20 to 35 years
Persons with : 20 to 40 years
