Is NATA complsoury for joining B.Arch

National Aptitude Test in Architecture-NATA is conducted by the Council of Architecture. The Council of Architecture-COA, regulates universities and colleges offering courses in architecture. Apart from regulating the universities and colleges, the COA also regulates the practice of an architect and is responsible for maintaining proper registration of such professionals.
As per the standards set by Council of Architecture, you must qualify National Aptitude Test in Architecture-NATA to take admission in in any college/university offering BArch.
NATA comprises drawing test and Aesthetic Sensitivity Test.

Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) . NATA is conducted by National Institute of
Advanced Studies in Architecture, Pune which is an academic unit of Council of
Architecture (India). NATA is mandatory for all students seeking admission to B.Arch. (5 Year Degree) course in any college of India.

No its not compulsory to appear in NATA (national aptitude test in architecture.) for get bachelor degree as B.arch .you can get direct admission in any private college where the course is available or in govn. College on the basis of high school percentage.
Although if you wanna to pursue B.arch from well recognised institutes in india, then you should qualify NATA.

No not at all nata is one of the exam to get into B.arch. One can write entrance exam like AIEEE, and other exams conducted by the state to get into the course

B.Arch is a five year course. first four year you have regular classes . in the fifth year you need to work under a registered architect
