The examination is conducted by UPSC every year and the notification was updated in the employment newspaper.
17 years is the minimum age eligibility criteria. It is not compulsory that the SCRA examination gives only 17 years students. If your age is below the age of 17 years then you will be not eligible to apply. But if your age is above the 17 years then you can appear for the examination. So, the age limit for the SCRA examination is 17-21 years. |

no it's not necessary. 18 years old candidates may also apply for SCRA examination.
the age eligibility criterion given in the SCRA 2011 notification is A candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August, 2011, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1990 and not later than 1st August, 1994 to appear in the SCRA 2011 examination. there is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates. so according to this eligibility criterion 18 years old candidates are also eligible. here i am attaching the notification for SCRA 2011 examination. go through the attachment for all information about the examination. visit UPSC official website http://www.upsc.gov.in best of luck. |
