I am aged 47, Science post graduate (M.Sc.-Chemistry), Mphil, 24 years of industrial experience and 1 year in teaching. I have passion for teaching and would like to pursue teaching for XII students. I want to know about the eligibility conditions for this?

In order to be eligible to become a teacher to teach science students of class 12, you need to have a B.Ed degree along with the qualification you have and will also have to clear CTET examination also. After successfully clearing the examination, you will be very much eligible to enroll yourself in any good school as a teacher.

You will have to pursue B.Ed course and have a successful degree of it and after that you will also have to clear CTET examination, which is like the gateway to become a teacher in any good school.

After successful completion of your B.Ed course and clearance of CTET examination, you will be very much allowed to become a teacher in any good school.

For school teaching job B.Ed is compulsory these days. Merely, educational qualification will not help you to get teaching job in schools because most of the schools these days ask for B.Ed qualification.

Private schools may recruit you without B.Ed if there is shortage of staff. You have a very good industrial experience which is surely a plus point for you.

Eligibility for teaching science student :

You must have to qualify STET exam.

You must have good student handling capacity.

You must have to qualify graduation.

You must have good personality.
