Is NET required for Lectureship in government colleges?
I am pursuing ME in Electrical Power System. I would like to do Lectureship in government college further. So, do I have to give NET exam? If yes, then which subject should I choose for the NET?

NET is National Eligibility Test and entrance examination is conducted for recruitment as lecturer in government colleges or for recruitment as JRF.
Yes, you have to qualify in NET examination for recruitment as lecturer in government college. So, you can select the NET in Electronics paper. |

National Eligibility Test is mandatory for all government college. It does not matter whether you are applying for lectureship in Engineering college or Pharma colleges.
The NET entrance exam is conducted by University Grants Commission on two occasions in a year. Eligibility criteria: You should have post graduation in any stream. Minimum 55% marks in post graduation. Relaxation is allowed for reserved category. There is no limit on number of attempts. |
