Number of attempts for IAS Exam?
please give me details about...how many attempts or chances are allowed for IAS Exam?

For IAS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.
Here i am providing the maximum number of attempts that a candidate can attempt IAS Exam. Candidates who belong to General category can appear for a maximum of 4 times. Candidates who belong to OBC, can appear for a maxmum of 7 times. For the candidates who belong to SC/ST category, can appear for any number of times. For these candidates there are no restrictions on the number of attempts for IAS Exam. In order to be eligible, one should have completed Graduation from a recognized university. |

Every candidiate will be entitled to four attempts to crack cse exam /ias exam .
The restriction of number of attempts will not apply in case of SC/ST who otherwise are eligible . for OBC will have seven attempts |

You can apply when your age is not over so maximum you will 5-7 chance to appear in the IAS exam. You should start your preparation before some years so that you can give good performance in the exam.

Hello friend,
If you belong to general category, your maximum number of attempt will be 4 times, otherwise, the maximum number of attempts for candidates belonging to OBC category is 7 times. There is no maximum limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. |

IAS is a civil service exam.. which is conducted by UPSC... *If you are from general category then you can appear for max. four times.. **If you are from SC/ST category then you can appear for max. nine times.. ***If you are from OBC category then you can appear for max. seven times.. so,, don't worry you will get a number of chance to crack the IAS exam.. Prepare yourself , work hard.. And try to crack the exam with very first attempt.. All the best.. |

For becoming an IAS officer, the candidate need to qualify the Civil services examination conducted by UPSC.. the no. of attempts are according to the caste category.
For general , the maximum no. of attempts is 4. The OBC candidates can have maximum of 7 attempts. The SC, ST candidates have no lomited no. of attempts. they can give the exam as many times as they wish.. |

IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country.
If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC. Application forms will come out in the month of January. According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam 1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks. Eligibility Criteria :- 1.Educational Qualification:To appear in IAS exam you should have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes will have seven attempts. For your kind information my friend i want to tell you that a general student can appear in the IAS exam 4 times.

An individual can make four (4) attempts in total to crack the Civil Services (IAS). However an individual from the OBC can make seven (7) attempts with three years upper age relaxation. There is no restriction on the number of times an individual from ST/SC category can attempt for the Civil Services. Individuals from the ST/SC category enjoy a five year relaxation to the upper age limit.
