Yes, definitely ..it would be very useful...but it should be latest.

At the time of submission of Application you will not have to submit OBC certificate to claim age relaxation in IES Exam.
But when you will pass the Exam you will have to show the certificate to the concerned authorities.

If you have OBC certificate then you will get an age relaxation of three years. but certificate you have to issued at the time of interview.

Surely you will get 3 years age relaxation in upper limit of IAS entrance exam as you are a OBC candidate. The age limit for IAS is 21-30 years. For SC/ST age relaxation in upper limit is 5 years.

There are Seven attempts for OBCs in IAS and for SC/ST there is no limit.

Age limit- 21-30years and relaxation for SC/ST and OBC

Maximum Attempts limit- Four attempts and seven for OBC.

If you are belongs to OBC candidate then OBC certificate is very useful for you. By this certificate you can get age relaxation 3 years in the IES exam and many other reservation according to government of India.

Yes dear OBC certificate is helpful for age relaxaation as you get 3 years age relaxation when you are OBC for IAS/IES exams conducted by UPSC.

Age limit for UPSC IAS/IPS/IES:
21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing.
Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs .

If you're of Reserved category then you definitely have chance this will be last and final attempt for you if you are SC/ST/PD candidate

The OBC certificate will be useful for the IAS exam in two important ways:-

-> The age limitation will be 21-33 years as opposed to general category which is 21-30 years.

-> You will be allowed to give the exam 7 times as opposed to 4 times of general category.

I.A.S exam exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream fron recginiced university.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts
