Sir i am doing my B.Sc Nursing final year, and i am interested to join in IAF. I have studied physics and mathematics in my higher secondary, is that possible to join in IAF after completing b.sc nursing course?

Yes, you can join IAF after B.Sc. Nursing.

For this, you have to apply for AFCAT Exam.

Notifications of AFCAT will be released on 3 June, 2017.

Exam Pattern of AFCAT Exam is based on Written Test that will contain MCQs belonging to:

• Verbal Ability,
• numerical ability,
• reasoning,
• general awareness and
• military aptitude.

There will be EKT exam, conducted after AFCAT of duration 45 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria for a nursing student is as similar to other candidates.

FLYING BRANCH:

• Graduation in B.E./B.Tech
• Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in each subject.
• Age: 19-23 years.

TECHNICAL BRANCH:

• Graduation in B.E./B.Tech through Aeronautical Engineering Branch
• Age: 18-28 years.

GROUND DUTY BRANCH:

• For Graduates: Age Limit is 20-23 years.
• For Post Graduates/LLB (Five years integrated course): Age Limit is 20-25 years.
• For LLB (Three years course after Graduation): Age Limit is 20 to 26 years.
• For M.Ed/Ph.D/CA/ICWA: Age Limit is 20 to 27 years.

You are good to apply in medical trad in Indian Air-force as per your qualification .Services in Indian Air force as nursing falls under group 'Y' recruitment as non-technical cadre.

Role of medical asst. is to provide medical first aid, control over inventories, dispensaries and co-operation with co-operation with correspondents,etc.

Minimum age limit above 17 years of age and maximum 21 years of age.

Candidate must secure 50% aggregate in 12th in PCB group or any other equivalent education.

Must be sound in English with minimum 50% marks in 12th.

IAF stands for Indian Airforce. There are opportunities for joining IAF after completing B.Sc nursing course.
The basic eligibility for IAF being B.Sc nursing candidate is
1. You must have completed B.Sc nursing or M.Sc nursing course from a recognised university.
2. You must be a recognised nurse by the state nursing council
3. You must be a Indian citizen
4. You must be physically fit to get the job and there will be checking as per the military medical standards.

I passed Bsc nursing in 2016. Now I m 25 years old... Do I have any opportunity as a nursing personnel in IAF.

--All you have to do is to appear the entrance exam namely as CDS and crack with a good rank.

--After that cleared some training schedule and gain some experience.
